You may be right. I'm just basing this on accounts of conversations I've had with Cubans. Your friends may have inherited these properties. Or maybe it was a swap. But buying legally and having documents to prove it is only possible in theory. Unless you have a political acquaintance, it is not feasible. Besides, a Cuban earns on average 15 dollars a month, assuming he saves 100% of his salary, it would take him 6500 years to buy a simple property! I have been in Havana for 30 days, you will not see a single real estate agency or a car dealership. Not even one 🙂

An analysis without ideological selves on the effects of the North American embargo on the Cuban economy and society points to a true culprit for the economic and social disaster in Cuba: the “revolutionary” government. The economic and financial embargo from the United States to Cuba lasts for 60 years. It was imposed as a response to Fidel Castro's first economic restrictions on the island against North American or Cuban properties with the participation of North American capital, it became official on February 7, 1962 when President John F. Kennedy totally banned the import of goods of Cuban origin . Then, in response to the nationalizations of important US companies based in Cuba, other prohibitions were added. Just as many people wonder if it is still possible scientifically to call "revolution” the social project imposed by Fidel Castro on Cubans in 1959, the definition of these sanctions is controversial. On the one hand, the Cuban government and its ideological allies insist on using it inaccurate "blockade" term, as Cuba can negotiate and currently negotiate with more than 100 countries, including food, medicine and medical equipment that it purchases from the United States thanks to a humanitarian exception approved by the North American Senate in 2000. It is not It is correct to speak of a blockade, according to international standards, however a blockade consists of preventing a demarcation from being able to trade with the rest of the world, taking military measures that ensure the interruption of all kinds of relationships with any other country. Financial and economic embargo would be, in practice and in law, the appropriate term. It is curious that while Cuba is under the aegis of the USSR, annually receiving thousands of millions of dollars in products, oil and financial aid, the embargo is not in place on the political discourse defending the government of the island, both nationally and internationally. This insistence on blaming the "yanqui blockade" for the economic and financial disaster on the island began precisely when the Soviet Union disintegrated, the socialist camp collapsed and Cuba found itself forced to operate in the world market without favoritism or ideological standards. , spent more than three decades parasitizing, through the Consejo de Ayuda Mutua Económico (CAME), the USSR and its socialist satellites in Eastern Europe, without approving multimillion-dollar annual aid to develop the industry and the national economy. also the effectiveness of the embargo. In six decades he has only managed to undermine the regime with a misleading and propagandistic discourse that continues to confuse the world today: it is the fault of the "blockade". “Yanqui” the economic debacle, the immense and priceless international financial crisis, and the depletion in all orders at the national level, which places Cuba today as one of the poorest nations in Latin America and the world, according to international organizations. The guilt of the alleged “blockade” is a theory refuted in the past during the government of Barack Obama, as his policy of closure and his numerous financial, economic and commercial openings were rejected in their entirety by Raúl Castro, which he insisted on considering the United States as an enemy when, face to face, Obama assured him otherwise, demonstrating it with concrete findings. In the middle of this absurd debate and all the derivative political and ideological manipulations, unfortunately, for sixty years there has been a single victim: the Cuban pueblo.

What destroyed Cuba is communism. A destructive and overturning dictatorial regime. The Castro regime is a machine for squandering subsidies. Between 1960 and 1990 it consumed aid from the Soviet Union equivalent to six Marshall Planes and did not improve its growth patrón nor approved huge subsidies to improve productivity. Between 1960 and 1990, Cuba received more than 65,000 million dollars from the Soviet Union, without counting what it received from other socialist countries. The Cuban dictatorship has also squandered subsidies and aid from China, Russia and Venezuela. Solo for the Cuban medical program, Mission Barrio Adentro, the dictadura of La Habana received 120 thousand million dollars in two decades, an official figure revealed by Nicolás Maduro in 2019 and confirmed by Julio García, head of the Cuban missions in Venezuela. Cuba obtains more money from Venezuela for other concepts, other missions, for the sale of electrical plants, for triangulation in food imports and for the sale of millions of bombs. In the last few years, China has given almost 5,000 million dollars as a gift to Cuba, almost half of the total gift it has given to its commercial partners. By assumption, trade with China has decreased due to the constant taxes of the Cuban dictatorial regime. Russia has donated thousands of millions of dollars to Cuba, with donations through, for example, the representation of the World Food Program (WFP) and the donation of 90 million dollars from the debt contracted with Russia (2014), some 25,800 million of dollars. Only between 2011 and 2014, Mexico, Japan, China and Russia together eximited the Cuban dictatorship of 40 thousand million dollars of money, which is equivalent to 50 percent of Cuba's current GDP, according to Forbes. The accreditors of the Paris Club in 2015 also canceled 8,500 million dollars of pending debt. The Cuban dictatorship always does the same thing: asking for money, spoiling it, impoverishing the population and failing to fulfill its commitments. Y luego queja a nonexistent “blockade”, to victimize yourself. If we sum up the donations, the condonation of the goddess and the financial support, Russia, China, Venezuela and the main commercial partners of Cuba, they have given financial aid and donations to the Cuban dictatorship that surpassed 200,000 million dollars in the last few decades . Despite all this, and with a monetary policy as destructive as that of Venezuela, printing Cuban pesos with no value and demand while depleting the reserves it receives, inflation in 2023 will reach 500 per cent according to Reuters. What's wrong with the Cuban dictatorship with all that money? Despilfarrarlo while condemning the Cuban pueblo to misery.

Some specific places in Latin America or other countries are worse than what you see in this video. Only these countries are specific places. In the case of Haiti or Cuba, as you can see the video is all over the country (in the provinces it is even worse). All of Cuba is a total prison-slum, on the Cariebean Alcatraz. The tyrant Fidel Castro slummed all over Cuba, converting it in its entirety into a huge marginal neighborhood, the Haitian neighborhood. He converted her into the ghetto of America. Even the same defenders of Castro tyranny, from other countries, compare them with backward countries like those in Africa, not with more prosperous countries as they were before 1959. Cubans are today in America one of the towns with less personal income per It is important if one takes into account the miserable salaries and wages that are paid, and he thinks that for his survival a large part of the products must be purchased in foreign currency at a type of exaggerated exchange rate and with which he does not receive his income.
